Made of soft cotton yarn, ASSURE Non-Sterile Gauze is gentle on the skin and highly absorbent.
Assure Non-Sterile Gauze can be primarily used for wound care, such as wound cleaning, absorbing blood and pus, and providing a physical barrier to the wound and the external environment.
These helps to prevent the wound from getting additional infection and injury, aside from quickening the healing process.
8-ply gauze is generally thinner and more flexible than 12-ply gauze, making it easier to mould and shape to fit a wound.
The 12-ply gauze is more absorbent, making it ideal for absorbing blood or bodily fluid.
Since it is thicker, 12-ply gauze is also more suitable to create a physical barrier between the wound and the outside environment.
